Optional purchases must remain transparent and subject to consumer law.
This policy establishes the rules PLO should use if memberships, virtual currency or premium digital entitlements are offered.
1. Optional premium content
Any future membership, supporter benefit, virtual currency, cosmetic or other premium entitlement must be optional. The price, duration, material benefit and any important restriction must be shown before payment.
2. Licensed digital entitlement; no third-party ownership
Payment grants only the PLO service entitlement described at checkout. It does not sell or transfer ownership of Pokémon, Nintendo software, trademarks or any other third-party intellectual property. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, PLO virtual entitlements are not redeemable for cash and should not be represented as real-world currency or investment assets.
3. Statutory rights preserved
Nothing in a PLO refund rule removes mandatory consumer rights. Where applicable law provides cancellation, faulty-digital-content, misdescription or other remedies, those rights continue to apply.
4. Immediate digital supply
Where the law permits a cancellation right to end after digital content begins to be supplied, PLO must obtain any legally required express request/consent and acknowledgement before immediate supply. PLO should not rely on a hidden or pre-ticked waiver.
5. Refund requests
Before paid content launches, PLO must publish an operational refund process stating the contact route, evidence required, processing timeframe and payment-provider limitations. Refunds should normally return through the original payment method where practicable.
6. Fraud, chargebacks and account safety
Suspected payment fraud or abusive chargeback activity may be investigated and associated premium entitlements may be temporarily restricted while the issue is reviewed. This does not remove a user's right to raise a genuine payment dispute or exercise statutory consumer rights.
7. Service changes
If premium content is materially changed, discontinued or becomes unusable, PLO must consider the purchaser's contractual and statutory rights rather than relying solely on a general service-change clause.
8. Contact
Until a dedicated billing/support address is established, premium-content legal questions may be sent to legal@pokemonlegacyonline.com.
